MiTek Electronics and Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Travis Pranschke to Vice President of Global Quality. In keeping with Mitek's long standing commitment to industry-leading quality and continuous improvement, Pranschke will focus on creating a strategic framework of quality that permeates all aspects of MiTek's value-chain.
MiTek President & CEO John Ivey stated, "Travis is a key part of our executive team here at MiTek and a natural born leader. He is full of energy and has the best "Can Do" attitude of anyone I know. I can insert him into any roll that requires a forward thinking, detailed oriented, high level leader and walk away knowing it will be handled properly. Travis is the kind of partner that makes my job as CEO possible and MiTek a great place to work."
Travis has a diverse background in quality, manufacturing, and operations management that spans two decades. Awarded a business degree in Information Technology and certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Travis has managed projects worldwide, with several international assignments requiring his on-site expertise.
Prior to MiTek, Travis gained a tremendous amount of experience working his way up from a maintenance technician in the plastics industry to Senior Plant Engineer, and ultimately, Production Manager. As a consultant to Pepsico Global, Travis assisted in the development of a standardized system significantly improving output throughout the organization globally.
Travis is a life-long audiophile and longtime MTX Audio enthusiast, winning numerous SPL car audio competitions, so in 2011, he was excited to join the MiTek team as Plant Manager of the Ennis, TX location. He rapidly deployed lean concepts, utilizing the "AtlasIED Director Display" and paging technologies to automate facility production processes, achieving an operating efficiency of over 90% consistently. His next mission was a complete restructure of the assembly process at MiTek's Louisville, KY facility, yielding major reductions in turn-around times for mass transit systems.
In 2015, Travis assumed the role of Director of Quality and Efficiencies, leading team efforts of the successful, large-scale transition of all MiTek facilities to ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance. In this role, he was called upon to manage all APQP efforts for MiTek's OEM Innovations Group through a period of explosive growth and multiple "new-to-the-world" product launches, successfully meeting an aggressive quality requirement of 50 ppm. Travis' key role on the OEM team contributed to revenue growth of more than 200% over the past two years.
Please join us in congratulating Travis on his new role as Vice President of Global Quality. Visit him, and MiTek's OEM Innovations Group, at the 2018 SEMA Show, booth #33301.
