The Test Engineer Supervisor is responsible for keeping the Test workstations operational to meet manufacturing schedules including all related software and hardware. Responsible for development and implementation of test procedures that ensure quality in accordance with ISO guidelines and Electronic Technicians accountable to following procedures as outlined.
Support the success of the manufacturing schedule assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.
Develop, document and maintain test procedures and workstations including third party test equipment (ie; Audio Precisions) in compliance to test parameters provided by Engineering Department.
Maintain workstation used to load EPROMs including the EPROM burners and computer.
Maintain test workstations and schedule periodic maintenance work in advance and identify preventative maintenance opportunities in advance of issues.
Review “in process failure” for root cause and determine how product failure was missed during first pass. Provide results to engineering with proposed possible QA test procedures.
Supervise Electronic Technicians to meet test criteria within to meet the production schedule on time.
Hold direct reports accountable to follow the written work instructions and Operation standards, in addition to supporting and meeting production goals.
Train and educate Electronic Technicians to increase their skill levels.
Communicate daily with Electronic Technicians to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to meet production goals.
Follow up daily with Electronic Technicians to discuss performance, production, and daily needs to meet both.
Prioritize work for the Electronic Technicians to meet production / sales needs.
Assist in meeting daily manufacturing and RA needs by performing QA testing on the products. This includes diagnosing problems that require a higher level understanding of the circuits on many of the newer digital and/or surface mount assemblies.
