Position Summary

The Graphic Designer position is responsible for designing brochures, advertisements, packaging, and other collateral and Marketing materials for MiTek's consumer and commercial companies. The Graphic Designer must communicate with vendors and MiTek Partners to ensure the proper design, layout, and direction of the project are completed accurately and timely.

Essential Functions

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop is a must, including the ability to utilize tools (e.g. clipping masks, masked layers, channel selection, selective color, image adjustments/manipulation).
  • Creating and sending proofs to customers.
  • File and production proofing experience. Resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Creating virtual images and digital renderings of products.
  • Preparing images for online use.
  • Ability to color correct artwork based on specific PMS colors and/or supplied artwork.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of production methods and applications to prepare efficient and effective files for output.
  • Demonstrate graphic design and/or layout skills from scratch and with provided artwork.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle detailed art projects.
  • Consistent production of neat, accurate work.
  • Extremely high attention to detail is required.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized and detail oriented. You will be responsible for creating, modifying and reviewing artwork to be printed and used digitally. Utilizing various computer applications as needed to duplicate/modify art to meet required specifications. Must have the ability to properly proof artwork.



Associate's Degree in Graphic Design


Minimum of 6 months experience


Computer Skills

Proficient in In Design, Illustrator, and PhotoShop using a Macintosh computer system.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of pre-press skills, including separation of DMYK colors and pantone colors, and trapping

Knowledge of paper stock and printing processes, experience in press checks and photography direction.
