Position Summary

The Eastern Regional Sales Manager - Trainee (Global Installed Systems) will be responsible for all aspects of outside system sales and design support for the assigned territory.  The Regional Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for working closely with the three decision making entities in the region that will determine successful outcomes for the company; (a) the end users, (b) the system specifiers and (c) the factory certified system integrators. This position will direct the actual distribution or movement of products and services to the certified integrators, and dealers and monitor the process through to the end users. This position is also responsible for sales distribution strategy in the region by establishing sales territories, quotas, goals and establishing training programs for certified integrators and dealers, factory representatives, system specifiers and end users.

This position will require an intensive training program which could last as long as 2 years. In that time, the candidate will learn the many aspects of the AtlasIED Large Venue & Transportation Business by (a) providing sales support to the Director and the Global Sales Department, (b) providing sales and communications support (c) immersing themselves in all technical aspects of the AtlasIED systems.


Essential Functions

  • Thoroughly review and technically understand all system components of the systems being sold to effectively become the AtlasIED system sales “beachhead” in the territory. Understand thoroughly the end-to-end processes involved with our certified system integrators as it relates to the AtlasIED systems.
  • Responsible for the administration of programs, promotions and the acceptance of orders from certified integrators and dealers. Will work to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service to ensure the best possible outcome.  
  • Responsible for the sales of AtlasIED products in the assigned territory.  Will monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts, pricing schedules and discount rates.  Advise certified integrators and dealers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business flows. 
  • Responsible for working with the system specifiers (consultants) in the region to influence their system specifications to include Atlas and IED products. Advise and report back to the factory any product shortcomings that bar the consultants from specifying AtlasIED products and services. Work with and coordinate with the AtlasIED consultant liaisons.  
  • Provide detailed system quotations and technical documentation and provide follow up to three customer entities outlined above.  
  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability. Territory quota will be assigned and will be approximately $8-12M based on current product levels.   
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products and manage the independent representative companies and travel the area assigned to service certified integrators and dealers of the region.  
  • Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment/product to purchase.  
  • Oversee regional sales representative firms (as applicable) and support their efforts.

 


Essential Tasks

  • Advise certified integrators and dealers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of our business.  
  • Confer or consult with project management, engineers and software development team to secure information required to meet project specifications and customer expectations.
  • Must be able to provide special consideration to special orders as well as special needs of certified integrators and dealers.     


Qualifications

EDUCATION

Associates Degree or higher or similar technical trade school degree

Advance training and/or certification for Audio Video Systems Integration, Networking and related education from SydAudCon, AES, InfoComm preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Two or more years of commercial or professional audio-visual systems integration, manufacturing, or sales representative experience preferred

Computer Skills

  •     Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
  •     Knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio helpful
  •     Ability to learn our internal software

  • Analog and digital audio experience required
  • Basic networking knowledge required
  • Technically oriented and able to train others by staying current with industry technologies
  • Must have excellent phone and good information retention skills
  • Proven negotiation ability – retain profitability for MiTek
  • Ability to maintain company or personal credit card
