The Marketing Coordinator will work with all MiTek audio brands in a market/product and promotions capacity and work with the manager to coordinate the marketing activities to assure projects are executed and delivered within established guidelines and to established expectations. Coordinate all commercial, national trade shows and assist with consumer tradeshows and regional distributor shows, as needed. Support Marketing programs, processes, and needs to ensure the success of Marketing and our sales efforts.
Responsible for all items related to trade shows – registration, ordering of equipment, set up and product orders.
Conduct market research to find requirements, habits and trends.
Maintains promotional materials for facilities and all shows. Work with Graphic Designers on coordinating requirements.
Provides support to regional sales managers, while working closely with key customer accounts on marketing projects, sales incentives, and promotional events. Consult with product development personnel on product specifications such as design, color and packaging.
Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to select and market products and services.
Schedule and direct all meetings for trade shows, takes notes on action items, and follow up to ensure items are completed in a timely manner. Manage timelines and act as the main point of contact for all shows to ensure that marketing and sales messages are created and delivered to trade show logistics staff in a timely manner.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand
Communicates with reps on meetings associated with trade shows and their responsibilities, and maintains follow up items after all shows (leads, mailings, etc).
Responsible for booth payments and notifying A/P of amounts and due dates.
Maintain costs of all shows attended for year over year comparison.
Provide content or manage for website and/or social media pages.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
1 year experience in trade show organization (all aspects)
2 years’ experience in successful marketing and communications
2 years’ experience with event planning and coordination
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Intermediate MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
Ability to learn internal MiTek systems as needed
Proficient with Adobe and Publisher
Requires well-developed sales, communication, organization, and analytical skills
Understanding of product features, benefits, pricing, positioning, design and advertising
Purchasing/planning process and procedures
Demonstrated experience in negotiations and vendor relations
Extensive experience in promotions and event planning
Familiarity with general marketing concepts
Normal office setting, except when traveling
