"What I like best about Mitek is that it feeds the hungry….

What I mean by feeds the hungry, is that in this company if you are hungry for success, you can be well fed at Mitek. This company does not draw lines around who can do what job, it is an open atmosphere and if you are capable, and a fast learner then any position can be yours.

This company can really find the best in people, some who didn’t even know they had it. Once a person at Mitek shows a particular skill or talent, our company is very good at finding positions that utilize those talents to the betterment of the company, and individual employees.

Mitek is continually defined by people who what a little more, and aren’t willing to allow the jobs to be tossed into a cubicle and stuck in the dark corner of a room somewhere.

"As Loyd is fond of saying, “The reason the grass is greener on the other side of the fence is because that’s where they installed the septic lines.” I’ve seen several suspiciously looking green fields in my career. Here are a couple of reasons I enjoy being on this side of the fence with all of you at Mitek.

First, we have strategic vision. Sure this can be a lofty topic that is not nearly as fun to discuss as new equipment or new products, but companies don’t exist long without strategic vision. We have to know what we are good at, what we are not good at, and where we want to go. We have good long term thinking at Mitek, and it keeps us all headed in the same direction together.

Second, culture is a priority. Whenever I want to hire someone at the plant, I inevitability get asked the same question by either Walter or Loyd, “How will they fit in with the team?” How many sports teams were filled with stars and had a terrible record? How many companies were filled with great resumes and failed? Our commitment to hiring the right people makes us special.

Former Notre Dame Head Football Coach Lou Holtz says every member of a team needs to know three things from the people around them: Can I trust you? Are you committed to excellence? Do you care about me? I believe if all of us can continue to answer ‘Yes’ to these questions, Mitek will be the right side of the fence to be on for years to come."

"One of the amazing things about working at Mitek is the exceptional internal teamwork. Whenever help is needed beyond a department's capabilities, there is never a shortage of willing volunteers to help achieve the objective at hand. I am always taken back during these situations by how quickly and seamlessly the individual partners pull together to become a single unit with a common goal. Energy levels and enthusiasm tend to become contagious with each person pushing themselves to keep up with the next person.

I have not come across anyone at Mitek that shuns a challenge, and often witness top management jumping in with line workers, if an extra hand is needed. I think that the most extraordinary aspect of it all is that the positive attitude that generally develops with the teamwork turns what could sometimes be considered tedious work into a fun challenge."

"I have been a Mitek Partner since 1997. During this time I have worked in a variety of areas including sales, technical support, and marketing and product development. In my current position for Atlas Sound, I am responsible for all matters pertaining to sales, dealer service, events and promotions, technical and training support, warranty, and credit.

I began my position with Mitek as a technical service representative. Which helped me move into Mitek’s marketing department where he headed up the public relations efforts for all Mitek brands both consumer and commercial. I then moved on to become the Director of Dealer Relations for the Western Territory of the United States supporting Mitek’s consumer brands. I have my fair share of opportunities with Mitek and I have had the opportunity to continually grow and develop myself along the way.

Mitek has provided me with much more than just a position within the company. Mitek has given me the education, experience and opportunity to excel in a career."
