The A/V Technician will perform a variety of job functions from delivering and setting up A/V equipment and providing technical support for events. Will perform basic day-to-day functions as part of show preparation and production.

Associates Degree in theater or related
One to three years of prior productions or hotel AV experience; one to three years of prior experience in A/V, lighting, video, sound or productions
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Work with the Production Team to ensure that all clients receive equipment and technical support as needed.
Provide support at the Production HQ and satellite locations as needed.
Set-up and tear-down of audio visual equipment in public spaces.
Maintain inventory, suggest repairs, storage or replacement of equipment.
Work closely with internal and external customers to determine their needs, set up and/or supervise the AV support during the events.
Check in rental returns, check for damage and proper operation, clean and return to storage.
Deliver and pick up equipment.
Attend client meetings as deemed necessary by account managers.
Assist the office with administrative duties such as phone support.

Intermediate understanding of MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to ensure that the office is supported and staffed appropriately.
Ability to maintain personal or corporate credit card.
Ability to travel as planned and unplanned events occur.
Strong knowledge of audio visual systems.
Dress in a professional manner when interfacing with Universal Audio Video Productions' clients.
Demonstrate the ability to make empowered, knowledgeable decisions to resolve all customer issues.
Ability to understand, design and troubleshoot simple to complex A/V systems.
Understand the theory and operation of all A/V equipment including video, audio and lighting gear.
Ability to travel 21 plus days per month, sometimes consistently.
