Final Assembler


The Final Assembler is responsible for efficient and accurate final assembly, preparation of parts and some testing of a wide variety of IED products using the Bill of Materials, drawings and other documentation included in the traveler package.

Position Supervises: None

  • Prepare parts for final assembly and check for prepping accuracy.
  • Able to assemble, install or repair frames, mixers, computer housings, mic stations and heat sinks.
  • Inspect boards for proper assembly including missing parts, solder quality, and clipped leads.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and rough sketches to produce prototypes or custom products to proof a new design or concept.
  • Perform routine Quality Control checks; identify and remove/replace/repair any defects or non-conformities.

  • Document assembly process including labor, part shortages, quality issues and recommendations for improvement.
  • Rework assemblies from inventory and RAs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Education
    High school diploma or General Education Degree

    Previous experience with and the ability to use appropriate hand tools required for electrical, electronic and mechanical assembly, including previous experience with soldering. Previous experience with board building.

    Computer Skills

    Ability to learn MiTek's internal computer systems.

    Other Requirements

    Ability to work overtime as required/requested - including but not limited to before and after shift and on Saturdays.
