POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist coordinates policies, programs, and assists and advises MiTek Partners with Human Resources issues. Will administer HR practices and objectives that promote a partner-oriented, high performance culture which emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, recruitment, retention, and the ongoing training and development of a superior workforce.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Administration of policies and procedures, processing and distribution of HR documents, salary classification transactions and changes to benefit coverage, maintain time and attendance, and process and distribute paychecks.Conduct orientation sessions for new partners explaining personnel policies, compensation and benefit programs, while fostering a positive attitude towards MiTek’s organizational objectives.Ensure the proper maintenance of employment records (written and electronic); prepare reports concerning personnel-related data such as new hires, terminations, performance appraisals, absenteeism rates, and MiTek Cares hours. Coordinates and monitors the recruitment and selection process by developing job descriptions and interview guides. Implements all phases of the recruitment and selection process including developing relationships with local agencies, sourcing and screening applicants, and interview coordination.Trains and educates supervisors and managers on efficient interview process and maintains communication with candidates through the interview process including acceptance and rejection notifications. Maintain employee relations through assisting with performance evaluations and improvement plans, investigations and disciplinary actions, performance management, terminations and exit interviews.Oversee and monitor safety awareness by conducting partner training and investigating/report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers and OSHA records. Serve as a link between management and partners by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems. Will monitor MiTek’s compliance with current and new legislation by reviewing, researching, and proposing changes to ensure MiTek’s adherence to such compliance/legislation.

Education Associates Degree in a related field preferred
Experience Three or more years experience in at least one HR discipline or department management preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Proficient with all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, AIM, and Outlook) • Intermediate ability with corporate HRIS systems for HR functions.
PHR Certification preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and training experience. • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines • Must have transportation so that he/she can pick up visitors, meeting supplies, lunch, etc • Ability to create and conduct presentations and training from small to large size groups • Ability to work outside of core hours
